Wyllie O Hagan

The Weaving Memories Project is a creative, visual arts project for senior residents of the Higham Hill area, Walthamstow. The project, led by artists Denise Wyllie and Clare O Hagan, is funded through the Higham Hill Community Association, London Borough of Waltham Forest and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Referencing the work of William Morris, each person has created their own unique tapestry. The work will be displayed on permanent exhibition in The London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The Higham Hill Seniors Group has varied and valued life skills. One woman worked on early computer technologies, another ran a fabric printing and design business in Sri Lanka.

We were constantly challenged, and delighted with their depth of experience.
