DNA reveals itself to the viewer who looks carefully.

This image shows a layered structure with an iridescent amber coloured fabric, which has been dye punched with circular holes. The holes provide a frame revealing the DNA and strong blue beneath. The convoluted amber colour fabric ripples across the surface.

Technical Description

The amber hole punched layer provides a frame to view the hidden structure of DNA is the lower section of the print. The amber contrasts with the ultramarine blue, being its opposite or “complementary” colour.

The circles ripple across the surface of the work creating an intruiging rythmn.
