Wyllie O Hagan have been invited to exhibit excerpts from
its internationally acclaimed Artwork “Transformations
in Science and Art” at the 111th Annual Confererence
of the German Institute of Internal Medecine.
The conference takes place on the 2nd to the 6th of April
at the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Weisbaden in 2005, and it’s
expected that over 10,000 German Docters and medical practitioners
will take part in the workshops and exhibition.
Wyllie O Hagan will be showing a selection of their Digital
and Fine Art prints which were produced during their
arts residency at the Cancer Research UK, funded DNA-Drug
Interaction Department at University College London working
with Professor
John Hartley.
During the residency the artists Denise Wyllie, and Clare
O Hagan produced the internationally, widely acclaimed,
42 metre long Artwork entitled “Transformations in
Science and Art”.
“Transformations” artistically portrays the
exciting work carried out by the scientists at the DNA-Drug
Interactions Group. It examines the outcomes of Cancer Research
in developing advanced and sophisticated drug treatments.
Deutsche Gesellscaft fuer Innere Medezin (DGIM) have selected
the Wyllie O Hagan image “Vision
of Rosalind 2” as the theme image for the annual
conference in 2005. The image has been altered slightly
to suite local requirements.
